Eligibility:  The “Spirit Halloween Superstores - Halloween Horror Nights Sweepstakes” ("Sweepstakes") is open to legal residents of the United States (including the District of Columbia, Hawaii, and Alaska) except employees, officers, directors (and their immediate families and those living in their same households) of Spirit Halloween Superstores, LLC (“Sponsor”), Universal City Studios LLC d/b/a Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal City Development Partners, Ltd. d/b/a Universal Orlando Resort, Netflix, Inc., (“Sweepstakes Entities”) or any organization responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the Sweepstakes or supplying the prizes, and/or their respective parent subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies.  Void in The U.S. Virgin Islands, U.S. military installations in foreign countries and all other U.S. territories and possessions and where otherwise restricted or prohibited by law.  Participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, who have Internet access and are the authorized user of a working email address. .  Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s and Administrator’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes.  Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

Promotion Period: Entries will be accepted for the Sweepstakes from Monday, September 10, 2018 at 12:00:01am Eastern Time ("ET") through Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 11:59:59pm ET.

How to Enter: People wanting to participate are encouraged to LIKE the Spirit Halloween’s Facebook page.  Between Monday, September 10, 2018 at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time ("ET") and Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 11:59:59 PM ET (“Promotion Period”), go online to Facebook.com/SpiritHalloween and follow the instructions to submit an online entry, including entering all required information.  All entries must be received on or before the end of the Promotion Period.  Only one entry per person, per contest duration will be accepted.  ANY MAIL-IN ENTRIES SUBMITTED WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED, WILL BE VOID AND AUTOMATICALLY DESTROYED WITHOUT OPENING.  Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification.  Incomplete, illegible, false or deceptive entries are void.  All entries become property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged.  Sponsor is not responsible for interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections, computer or software malfunctions or telephone transmission problems or technical failures, garbled transmissions, damage to a user's computer equipment (software or hardware) or other errors or malfunctions of any kind whether caused by computer viruses, worms or bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, equipment, programming used in this Sweepstakes, mechanical, electronic or human error or otherwise. In the event of a dispute as to any registration or play, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant or player.  The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address.  Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.  By participating, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and to the decisions of the judges, which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.

Grand Prize Drawing: One (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing occurring on or before Friday, September 28, 2018 from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.  The potential winners will be notified by email.  Failure to respond to the notification within five (5) business days from the date of the Sweepstakes drawing will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected.  In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.  Only three (3) alternate drawings will be held, after which the prize will remain un-awarded.  Prize will be fulfilled after winner is confirmed.  Sweepstakes parties reserve the right to modify the notification procedures in connection with the selection of alternate winner(s), if any.  All entries are subject to verification prior to awarding of prizes.  Eligibility, age and claims made by prize winners also are subject to verification prior to awarding prizes. 

Any and all taxes on the prize, and any other costs, fees, and expenses not explicitly stated herein are the sole responsibility of the prize recipient.

Prize: There will be one (1) Prize (“Prize”) awarded. Prize winner (“Winner”) will receive one (1) four (4) day/three (3) night trip (“Trip”) for Winner and one (1) Guest (“Guest”) to experience Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights™ at one of the following two (2) destinations selected by the Grand Prize Winner (a) Universal Orlando Resort™ in Orlando, Florida; or (b) Universal Studios Hollywood™ in Los Angeles, California.  The total FMV of the Grand Prize depends on the destination chosen by winner (see below). The actual value of Grand Prize may vary depending on the number of travelers, point and date of departure and fluctuations in the cost of air transportation.  

Option (a): Universal Orlando Resort Prize:

(a) If the Universal Orlando Resort destination is chosen, Winner will receive a four (4) day, three (3) night trip for Winner and one (1) Guest to Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida. Trip will include round trip economy class air transportation for Winner and one (1) Guest from a major airport near Winner’s home (as determined by Universal Orlando in their sole discretion) to Orlando, FL*; three (3) nights standard hotel accommodation (one room, double occupancy, room and tax only) at Universal’s Aventura Hotel or at another on-site hotel (as determined by Universal Orlando in their sole discretion) for Winner and one (1) Guest; non-exclusive ground transportation to and from airport and hotel in Orlando, FL for Winner and one (1) Guest *; 3-Day 3-Park Park-to-Park tickets for admission to Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme parks and Universal’s Volcano Bay Water Theme Park, for Winner and one (1) Guest; One (1) Single Night General Admission Tickets + Express for Winner and one (1) Guest; and admission to one (1) Blue Man Group Show for Winner and one (1) Guest (exact date and time to be determined by Universal Orlando in their sole discretion). The Fair Market Value (“FMV”) of the Universal Orlando Resort Prize is Two Thousand Four Hundred Sixty-Four and 78/100 Dollars ($2,464.78). NOTE: Travel period must coincide with either the 2018 or 2019 Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights event dates in order to partake in the Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights elements of the Prize. 2018 event dates occur on select dates between September 14, 2018 and November 3, 2018.  2019 event dates are currently TBD.  Winner may choose a travel period outside of the Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights event dates (with Universal Orlando approval) but in doing so will forfeit the Halloween Horror Nights General Admission Ticket and Express Pass element of the Prize without further or alternative compensation. Trip must be completed by November 10, 2019 or Prize will be forfeited in its entirety without further or alternative compensation. Travel dates are subject to Universal Orlando and Sponsor approval. If Winner is between the ages of eighteen (18) and twenty-one (21), he/she must be accompanied by an adult of at least twenty-one (21) years of age in order to check into the on-site hotel. Travel arrangements must be made through Universal Orlando.          

* For a winner who is a Florida resident and chooses the Universal Orlando Resort destination, air transportation may be substituted with another method of transportation by Universal Orlando in its sole discretion.

Option (b): Universal Studios Hollywood Prize:

 (a) If the Universal Studios Hollywood destination is chosen, Winner will receive a four (4) day, three (3) night trip for Winner and one (1) Guest to Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. Trip will include round trip economy class air transportation for Winner and one (1) Guest from a major airport near Winner’s home (as determined by Universal Studios Hollywood in their sole discretion) to Los Angeles, CA**; three (3) nights standard hotel accommodation (one room, double occupancy, room and tax only) at the Sheraton Universal or at another on-site hotel (as determined by Universal Studios Hollywood in their sole discretion) for Winner and one (1) Guest; non-exclusive ground transportation to and from airport and hotel in Los Angeles, CA for Winner and one (1) Guest **; Two (2) day General Admission tickets to Universal Studios Hollywood for Winner and one (1) Guest; one (1) day Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights Universal Express ticket for Winner and one (1) Guest. The FMV of the Universal Studios Hollywood Prize is Three Thousand Two Hundred Forty Seven and 00/100 Dollars ($3,247.00). NOTE: Travel period must coincide with either the 2018 or 2019 Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights event dates in order to partake in the Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights elements of the Prize. 2018 event dates occur on select dates between September 14, 2018 and November 4, 2018.  2019 event dates are currently TBD.  Winner may choose a travel period outside of the Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights event dates (with Universal Studios Hollywood approval) but in doing so will forfeit the Halloween Horror Nights Universal Express Ticket element of the Prize without further or alternative compensation. Trip must be completed by November 7, 2019 or Prize will be forfeited in its entirety without further or alternative compensation. If Winner is between the ages of eighteen (18) and twenty-one (21), he/she must be accompanied by an adult of at least twenty-one (21) years of age in order to check into the on-site hotel. Travel dates are subject to Universal Studios Hollywood and Sponsor approval.  Travel arrangements must be made through Universal Studios Hollywood.     

** For a winner who is a California resident and chooses the Universal Studios Hollywood destination, air transportation may be substituted with another method of transportation by Universal Studios Hollywood in its sole discretion.

General Trip Prize Conditions: If Winner is unable to travel during the specified travel period, Prize will be forfeited without further or alternative compensation. If Winner elects to partake in any or all portions of his/her Prize with no Guest, the remainder of the Prize will be forfeited and shall not be subject to further or alternative compensation. All elements of the Prize must be redeemed at the same time, and no changes will be permitted after confirmation of any redemption. Winner must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. Unless child or ward of Winner, travel companion must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of departure and must travel on the same itinerary and at the same time as the Winner. Warning: The Halloween Horror Nights event may be too intense for young children and is not recommended for children under the age of thirteen (13). No costumes or masks allowed. Event occurs rain or shine. Specific travel dates and arrangements are subject to air travel, holiday, blackout dates, and other prize and travel restrictions. Reservations are subject to availability. Passes may not be sold, exchanged or otherwise transferred by Winner. Prize consists only of the elements expressly set forth above; no other elements or expenses (including, without limitation, insurance, meals, unspecified ground transportation, phone calls, gratuities, incidentals, souvenirs, gasoline, etc.) are included in the Prize and all such expenses are the sole responsibility of Winner.  Winner is responsible for any air travel taxes and/or expenses, including applicable departure taxes or fees, inspection charges, baggage fees, and security charges. Once issued, tickets are nontransferable and may not be reissued once travel has commenced. Open tickets may not be issued and stopovers are not permitted. Winner and Guest must possess valid travel documents (e.g. valid government issued photo identification, passport, etc.) prior to departure. FMV of Prize may vary depending upon the points of departure, ground transportation, and/or airline fare fluctuations; any difference between stated FMV and final FMV of Prize will not be awarded. Lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets will not be replaced. Prize is non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsor’s and/or respective prize provider’s sole discretion. Sponsor and/or respective prize provider reserves the right to substitute a Prize or Prize element for one of equal or greater value if the designated Prize or Prize element should become unavailable for any reason.  Prizes are not transferrable and are not redeemable for cash. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer. Prize elements may not be separated. Sweepstakes Entities shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions, substitutions or any acts or omissions whatsoever by the transportation companies or any other persons providing any of these services and accommodations necessitated by same. All federal, state and local taxes on a Prize, and other expenses related to accepting and/or using a prize not listed in these Official Rules are the responsibility of each Prize Winner, who will receive an IRS Form 1099 in his/her name for the fair market value of the Prize they have won for the calendar year in which the Prize was won, if applicable. Each Prize Winner bears all risk of loss or damage to Prize after it is placed by Sponsor with a third party common carrier for shipment to Winner. The Prizes will be shipped only to an address in the United States.  No portion of the Prizes will be replaced if lost or stolen.

Prize Provider Terms: Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort are prize suppliers only in this Sweepstakes; are not sponsors of this Sweepstakes; and are not responsible for the administration of the Sweepstakes, the collection of the entries or the conduct of the draws. Notwithstanding the foregoing, all disputes arising out of or relating to any person’s use of, or participation in, the Universal Orlando Resort destination prize itself shall be resolved by applying the laws of Florida and shall be solely and exclusively brought in the state or federal courts within Florida, and all disputes arising out of or relating to any person’s use of, or participation in, the Universal Studios Hollywood destination prize itself shall be resolved by applying the laws of California,  and shall be solely and exclusively brought in state or federal courts within California, without regard to conflict of laws provision therein (collectively “Prize Use Claims”). Such claims shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and all such claims shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event to include attorneys’ fees.

Miscellaneous: No transfer, cash redemption, or prize substitutions (or portion thereof) allowed, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.  In the unlikely event that any portion of the prize is undeliverable for any reason Sponsor will award a substitute prize of equal or greater retail value.  Each potential winner will have three (3) business days from the moment such notification is issued to respond to such notification by following instructions provided therein.  By responding to the notification in the time provided, the potential winner is agreeing to an affidavit of eligibility/liability and publicity release.  If a response is not received in the time provided, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.  A maximum of one re-draw following the same above process will be conducted per original selection.

Sponsor reserves the right to modify the notification procedures in connection with the selection of the alternate winner(s), if any.  Acceptance of any prize constitutes the prize winner’s permission for Sponsor to use such person’s name, biographical and prize information, entry materials, picture, and likeness for promotional or advertising purposes in connection with this Sweepstakes without further notice or further compensation or permission except where prohibited by law.  All entries are subject to verification prior to awarding of prizes.  Eligibility, age, and claims made by prize winners in regards to compliance with these Official Rules also are subject to verification prior to awarding of prize.  Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize items once in the winner’s possession.  Sponsor shall not be liable to winner or any person claiming through winner for failure to supply the prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action(s), regulations(s), order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, terrorist acts, threatened terrorist acts, air raid, blackout, act of public enemy, earthquake, war (declared or undeclared), fire, flood, epidemic, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal) labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any other cause beyond Sponsor’s sole control (collectively, "Force Majeure Event").

By entering, entrant agrees that Sponsor, Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Orlando Resort, Netflix, Inc., and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents shall have no liability for, and shall be held harmless for and against any damage, loss or injury that may arise in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from: (i) the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of prize or participation in this Sweepstakes; or (ii) printing, distribution or production errors.  Sponsor or their affiliates may rescind any promotion found to contain such errors without liability at their sole discretion.  Sponsor makes no warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the nature of any prize awarded.  Sponsor reserves the right, in their sole discretion to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend this Sweepstakes should causes beyond the control of Sponsor, including but not limited to a Force Majeure Event (as defined herein), impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Sweepstakes and, in the event of cancellation, termination or suspension, select, at Sponsor’s discretion, winners from eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to event requiring such cancellation, termination or suspension. Sponsor reserves the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual that (i) tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operations of this Sweepstakes in any manner, (ii) violates the Official Rules, or (iii) acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.  CAUTION: Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of this Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws.  Should such an attempt be made, Sweepstakes parties reserve the right to seek civil and/or criminal prosecution and/or damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
